How dry?

I bought a couple of these to keep an eye on some pots that are over wintering in the greenhouse, they are very sturdy and powered with supermarket friendly AA batteries, easy to setup and have a good range (with GW3000 Gateway) no more walking to the garden to stick my finger in a pot, just fire up the app! great service from Weather Spares, item and seller recommended.

Perfect

This is used to monitor the moisture content for my tomatoes and works a treat. No more wilting from under watering.

Great sensors

I have four of these around the garden int eh flower beds to check the mositure. They work well with the app to le tme know when it gets dry and I need to do some watering.
Thanks

Great battery life and accurate

These soil moisture sensors work very well, The batteries last for about a year, and are great to have around your garden and patio. The Ecowitt app can be configured to send an email alert when moisture drops below a set percentage to remind you to water. Great to now be able to buy locally in the UK from Weather Spares.

How deep into the soil do these measure moisture?

Weather Spares®

They measure the top 10cm of moisture - approximately the length of the probe.

What frequency is this?

Weather Spares®

Most of our Ecowitt products use the frequency of 868MHz. We have this model avaialbe in both 868MHz and 433MHz which can be selected by using the dropdown beside the product price.
