I installed my weather station this week. It is working well in the south of Morocco (350 km from Agadir). I installed it on the top of the roof, attached to a home made 2m high pole. It did capture 68km/h wind speed. I should have bought the birds spike as i could see some birds hanging on it. I hope it will be useful for the local community too also it has rained since 2015.

I purchased the weather station in July 2024, it arrived very promptly and well packaged. Due to other commitments I didn't get time to install it until mid August. I initially installed it in a temporary position that gave me easy access to it during the commissioning of it. I did have problems getting the device to go online and send data to "Wunderground", I contacted Weather Spare to get some advice on the issues I was having. Adrian responded and gave me some pointers to overcome the issues. I was then able to get the Weather station online.

The product was despatched quickly and arrived when stated. Have had one before and found the manual to be quite difficult to follow, and, sadly, it hasn't changed. However, it is now set up and working. A good product for part time weather watchers but also for the keener types

I have used Weather Spares before and as always their service was excellent. This time I purchased a Ventus W830. The W830 if a great weather station which is easy to set up and connect to WOW etc. The readings are accurate and overall it is very good value bit of kit. Would definelty recommend Weather Spares!

Great little weather station. Bought for elderly friend, he loves it and finds it easy to use. Good value for money. Clear readings. Arrived earlier than they said in these difficult times.

I am always a bit skeptical of equipment that has an uncommon name, but this Ventus station is excellent. So many features and all able to be seen on the internet and my tablet when I am away from the house. Great service too.

I have been happy with this weather station, other than the WiFi issue (see below). It is good value for money and provides plenty of information,

When I first got it, I calibrated the rain gauge by manually (and very slowly) syringing water drops into it and found I need to set a calibration factor of 95%. However, on comparing to a manual gauge placed a few inches away at the same height during normal rainfall conditions, I found the Ventus still over read by about 10%. Hence, a further adjustment to the calibration factor is required. Good that one can calibrate.

My biggest disappointment is that the console does not appear to have a buffer in case the WiFi goes down. If the WiFi fails for any reason in the house, then when connection is re-established, none of the missing data is uploaded, so on Wunderground and WeatherCloud you end up with missing data. It would be great if there could be a firmware upgrade to address this. Otherwise, I would give 5 stars.

The Ventus W830 replaces an old weather station which had to be linked via USB to a PC to facilitate data uploading. It is very easy to setup the WIFI connectivity using the “WS View” App and uploading to the various sites such as Weather Cloud and the UK Met Office WoW is quite straight forward. Once connected to the WIFI network the date and time are automatically synchronised from the Internet. The range from the 868MHz outdoor sensor unit to the indoor console is excellent. The console display is very clear and the backlight options when connected to the power supply are a nice feature. The Ventus W830 is an excellent weather station for the price and build quality seems pretty good, although time will tell in terms of reliability and longevity. Very impressed with the customer service from Weather Spares and the option to purchase spares is reassuring.

Bought this Ventus W380 to replace my worn out Oregon Station and everything worked first time. Really impressed by the display and ability to track readings over time on Weather Cloud. It does everything so much easier and better than my old station and and at a great price. Mounted on a 2m x 50mm round aluminium tube from Metals4U it looks great. I filled it with expanding foam to give it extra strength. Great customer service from Weather Spres too. What more could you want?

So many features for so little money. Quick and easy to setup, but worth reading the instructions properly. Data flows to the internet a little while after setting up, am not disappointed.

Can be tricky to set up to WIFi but I found it easy when I used the iPad and not the iPhone Well worth the money - sends info to Weather Underground on the net and you can view remotely on your phone too
