We purchased the Ecowitt WS2910. Easy to setup and configure and there is a lot to do once you register the device for Internet data sharing.
Really good piece of kit easy to setup and value for money
Bought to replace a simpler weather station. Well packaged and easy to set up - no excessive amounts of plastic bags. Pleased to see a well written easy to understand manual.
Mounted the sensor unit on the roof of my garage, not ideal but didn't fancy getting on the house roof! The readings seem accurate given the garage location.
I connected to the Ecowitt website as detailed in the manual, fairly straightforward but followed the instructions and got there eventually...
Once connected you can access all the data being transmitted by the sensor unit and view all data as a graph, daily, weekly etc on your tablet, phone, computer etc.
Update, had a problem with time display. Contacted Weather Spares and received a reply within a couple of hours which sorted it out. Excellent customer service.
Does the Ecowitt ws2910 have an sd card slot?
Many thanks.
Unfortunately not.
Currently the HP25xx models with TFT have an SD card slot as will the GW3000 gateway when released in the coming months.
Does the 2910 have a self emptying rain gauge?
Yes, all of our products with rain gauges are self empting including the WS2910 weather station.
How long do the batteries last as I would like to put it on my roof . As I have scaffolding up so I am not going to be able to easily access the station in the near future easily.
The batteries in this style of outdoor unit last between 18 months and 3 years depending on the amount of light they receive on the solar panel. This supplements the battery power, especially in the summer. There is also the 10 meter battery extension pack available for this station which allows the batteries to be brought neared the ground to a more convenient location.
