Very easy to set up. Fit the batteries and automatically links to main sensor. Would recommend.

Useful add on sensors, easy config and good measurement consistency

Bought as add on Sensors for a WS3801 to cover additional rooms.
Very simple integration, just set different channels and it worked instantly.
Idea for additional improvment:
Please also calculate and display the dew point in the ecowitt portal like for other temp/humidity sensors.

Very impressed

In a sense hard to get excited but hey, it just works!
I bought 2. One for an outbuilding and 1 for the greenhouse (with the Stevenson screen). Instructions are simple. It is plug and play with my HP2560 console which was showing in on its screen by the time I got to looking at it.

Service from WeatherSpares was superb, faster than than I expected.

Simplicity itself

Purchased this sensor as an add on to my HP2561. Ir's purpose being to remotely report the conditions in my south facing conservatory, using the Ecowitt App.
Before purchase, I downloaded the User Guide, So I had already chosen a location on and put in the fixings (a screw) on a section of the dwarf wall that never receives direct sunshine, and about 15 inches from the floor to minimise heat (or cold) radiation. It arrived spot on time and taking it straight out of the box, the dip switches were already set for Ch.1 and Centigrade. Popped in two (Lithium) batteries, hung it on the screw, and by the time that I reached the WH2561, it had already been detected!
An excellent, compact and efficient little add-on. (and it didn't break the bank either!)
although it will stand on a flat surface.

How far can I place this away from a GW1100 gateway?

The maximum distance the sensor can be placed away from the transmitter is 100m / 320ft. This is an unobstructed distance, so obsticals such as walls, windows or even thick folage will reduce this figure.

Is this the best device to add an additional temperature sensor that can be received by both my gw1100 gateway and HP2551 console?
