crucial addition to my VP2 passive shield, WeatherSpares the best service

This addition, along with adding fan, augments the passive VP2 shield for better performance even without the fan operating. Have struggled to re-site the solar panel and keep it weather-proof. An improvement might be an optional free-mountable rear cover for the solar panel that allows separate placement from the transmitter, which is constrained to be close to some sensors.

Upgrade

Due to my PWS located in an urban garden I purchased the Daytime Fan-Aspirated Radiation Shield kit as an upgrade my Davis Vantage Pro 2 to ensure my PWS DW7447, Guisborough Weather West recorded more accurate temperatures during the more frequently occurring hot (heatwave) conditions. Weather Spares provided me with an excellent pre sale service, which helped me make my decision to purchase the kit. The kit arrived swiftly and well packed.

This was a full replacement for my old daytime fars which was failing. Fan was done and solar panel didn't show much voltage in daylight conditions when test with a fluke meter.

Solar panel material seems to have changed so hopefully this is a better panel than the last. Got it on offer so some money saved too. Weatherspares service is excellent and fast delivery too.

Just to confirm that the 7747 Upgrade kit is suitable for Pro2+

Weather Spares®

Yes, this item makes changes to the white radiation shield plates only and adds a fan and new solar panel. It is suitable for the Davis Pro2 plus weather station.
